Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently overhauled the engine of a 08 Buick Enclave, 3.6 engine.  Put it back together and the fuel injectors don't pulse, it cranks but it will not start.  How do I fix this?

Make sure battery has a full charge. Engine cranking, do you have voltage at the fuel injectors? Engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs? Any applicable trouble codes? What about your security system?

Just to add, you may need to double check that no wiring connectors were left disconnected, if you haven't already?

Battery is new with a full charge. No trouble codes, security system has been checked and cleared. Yes there is voltage at the fuel injectors and Yes there is spark at the plugs, new plugs There is nothing flashing on the security part of it. It seems as though when you unplug the battery positive and negative, touch them together, wait for a minute, put them back on try to start it, sometimes it will take off and run for a second, then it will die and won't start again.

It just will not pulsate the fuel to keep the engine running. No codes come up at all.

If no ground for fuel injectors, both legs have voltage, correct? At the moment, I'm out of ideas. Is there proper fuel pressure? I wondered about rpm signal, but if there isn't one, you shouldn't have spark with engine cranking.

To answer the first part, I don't know if both legs have voltage. I can only get to one side without tearing it down again. It has 55-60lbs of pressure. RPM is working just fine. The fuel injectors not pulsating is my main problem, I have got it to start and run for a few seconds, then it shuts down and won't start again.

I found that the timing was off. I tore it down again and the timing sprockets were off on one side. I had my wife search on the internet about the timing of this car. We found a picture of what the marks were on each side. I set it according to the picture we found and it took right off.
