told by dealer mechanic my 2008 subaru legacy with 110,000 miles is leaking oil from head gaskets and valve covers both sides.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dealer shop states leaking oil from head gaskets and valve covers both
sides. They want to replace the timing belt at same time. I have only driven the
car 40,000 miles in the 5 years I have had it.  They are estimating
$3073-$3,400 including tax  It is auto with slap stick shift I never use. 2.5

I would shop around. When doing the head gaskets the timing belt should not add more than a hundred dollars to the total. I might just do the valve cover gaskets and live with the oil seep from the heads.
