hi have 2000 chevy express 3500 box truck running lights stay on when truck is off, pulled fuse from inside truck lights stayed on, pulled lighting fuse from under hood lights go off but truck wont stay running, put fuse back in lights come on and truck starts right up

you need to rewrite this but if you had any work including collision done you might be looking at a pinched wire thats touching another

yeah problem is not sure of any collision work and could be back feeding from anywhere
Pull your light relay. It could be bad and the contacts staying closed.

Anwser this: what shuts the engine down? Fuel, spark, anti theft, ??? whatever it is, it likely has a bad ground. That item is backfeeding thru the fuse and grounding thru the bulbs illuminating them. Probably not equally, are some brighter than the others? Not a nightmare. Just a bad dream. Probably something you ate, LOL.

Ok. So how did it go. Is it fixxed or are you still having the problem? It helps others when you post what you find as you find it. It teaches the process. Plus the folks that gave anwsers are invested. Even if the project is temporarily on hold it is good to know.
