Is your e-brake pedal/switch loose, e-brake light on. The e-brake shuts the running lights off.
no its not loose the lights are intermitant whether the brake is on or off

OK. Running lights. Are you refering to daytime running lights (low beams on during the day, e-brake to bypass) or your park lights, front marker/signal below the head lights. Park lights on the front only work with the switch. Lows work with the running or head lights. If the switch and bulbs are new I would start at the sockets and work the wiring back to the ground. Might be loose or rusty. If the issue was on the hot side it would usually be a fuse or broken wire which 98% of the time it would not come back at all.

A multi meter comes in handy (even a cheap one) Read the resistance from the ground termial in the plug back to the neg on the battery. Your looking for a reading as close to zero as possible. If the reading looks good try moving the wiring to see if it changes.
front parking lights , the cab lights ( on the roof ) , my dash lights , tail lights, and the license plate lights. are the lights affected . i will try the multi meter tomarrow.

Wow all. That steers me back to a power issue. If they all are affected it's power because more than two of the lights you mentionede have separate grounds and odds are that they wont fail at the same time. Was it a new swictch or a used switch? Other than bulbs that's the highest failure point I've had with mine. I would check the wiring and fuse terminal around the fuse box. Reach behind and move the wires see if you can locate the issue.
found the problem the switch was faulty , getting another one. thanks for the help.

Been there. Had a new one, in which I had to wedge something above the "P" to rotate the contacts inside counter-clock wise to get it to work. I've used the cheaper ones from LMC and they aren't bad.
