piston removal

If you can't feel a ridge can you take pistons out or do you still need to run a
ridge reamer around  .taking pistons out to free up the rings give the cylinder a
hone  as it was seize from sitting many years but engine just has 10,000 miles
on it

I'd say if you can not feel any ridge with your fingers or finger nails, just take them out with out the need of a ridge reamer.

Thank you any engine that l done has all ways been well worn out with a good ridge but this motor l can't feel one and l gave away a lot of my tools when l made a big move and haven't plan on getting back into cars but l could not pass up this one with such low mileage and no body rust

Soak the pistons with ATF which is an old trick to loosen up rusted in pistons.
