Why does the engine still overheat after changing thermostat and temp coolant sensor?

Check the wiring to the switch on the radiator, make sure the connection is good. If fan still does not operate as it should change the switch. Also check that there is no oil in the coolant system, and no water in the oil, this generally shows up with creamy gunge on the oil filler cap. You need to be careful with an overheating engine, as all sorts of problems can occur through this. The coolant temperature sender is part of the ecu system for your car, it tells the ecu what the exact temp. is for the sake of air and petrol mix for your engine for emission purposes. If you changed the coolant recently, do check for air in the system, make sure that the coolant is circulating properly.
