have you considered the mass amounts of fabrication and custom motor/tranny mounts it would take to get it in there? your fab/parts list cost would have quite a large price tag...chassis reinforcement also would be a must...that big motor might twist that thing in half over time without a pretty serious reinforcement
the tuck was originally a 6.2 liter diesel heavy half. i currently have two Dana 60 axles to go under it the frame is really a 3/4 frame but it had the corp. 14 bolt with the 6 lug pattern so it was a heavy half i have considered the fab cost it to the figures and thing im a international guy and i want a turbo diesel in stead of the old naturally asperated 6.2 and a 6.5 is junk and i hate cumaparts
chaz we all know you want to put a 7.3 in your truck but seeing how your truck was already a diesel it shouldnt be that hard just custom drivetrain
if u have ur own welder u can fabricate all the mounts... but im pretty sure its not a direct bolt up to the transmission,, ur lookin at buyin a new one
Do not put a Ford motor into a Chevy thats just blasphemy.
