What circuit are the power locks on of a 2006 Kia Sorento?

Asked by nmkieler Jun 28, 2015 at 09:18 AM about the Kia Sorento

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have problems with my power locks. I use the FOB to open and close the locks. It works, but the locks will actuate without pressing the FOB. They will cycle "open-close" several times. I also have a electrical drain on my battery. If I do not start the vehicle for a few days, the battery will drain down and the vehicle will not start.

This will be an interesting thread to follow, as my wife's 2004 Kia Sorento is having the same issue. I thought that maybe it was the remote starter that we had installed in 2005 - 2006, but maybe it's the FOB / BCM. I found this thread, which might shed some light on the issue --- http://www.kia-forums.com/cerato-2003-2008-spectra5-2004/90090-schematic-power-doorlock-circuit-2005-spectra5.html. Kia wiring table for 2003 - 2006 Sorento - http://www.commandocaralarms.com/wiring/2003-2006/kia/sorento/1209.html. | Good luck & hopefully, we can both find an answer to this issue!!

Did you ever figure out the source of this problem? I am having a similar issue in a 2006 Spectra5.
