Once you start the engine again and let it idle the gauge should go back to normal again. Some engines are like that. The cooling fan should not come in while you are driving as the speed sensor registers in the Computer box that the vehicle is moving and the cooling fans should switch off depending on the signal for the Coolant Temp sensor. If you bantam has an airconditioner as standard there will be , medium speed and high speed fans,

Thank you. I do not have an aircon fitted on the vehicle. The radiator fan never work when driving in slow traffic. Could it be that the radiator resistor be faulty?

Switch the ignition to ON. If you remove the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor Plug. The cooling fan should operate automatically. This is a "Fail safe" system . It could be the resistor on the fan as well.

It is an 2006 model and also use antifreeze and water in the coolant system. How do you bleed all the air out in the coolant system?

Normally, Have the correct Anti-freeze water ratio. Fill your cooling system up. Start the engine and let it idle. Wait for the thermostat to open and carry on topping the coolent up with the Radiator cap off until the expantion bottle is at the correct level.
