What is this hose that broke off of my Sebring?

The hose in the attached picture
broke off at the engine. Can anyone
help me identify what hose this is
and if it can be fixed by myself?

That is the heater hose. It looks like the t-stat housing is broken. Need more info on vehicle for accurate recommendations.
