Purchasing Rav 4 2018. Is rust protection worth getting

If you plan to keep it a long time and want to protect it's trade value, rust protection would be a good idea. Especially if you live in a "rusty state" like PA, OH, and NY. But some people think it's a dealer gimmick so have it done somewhere else. I know "Fluid Film" oil works well here in PA.
