2002 Ford Escape does not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When key inserted all works. When key turned to start all power is  lost. Once
positive battery cable is disconnected then reconnected power comes back.  
Again when key  turned to start all Powers is lost again.

Check the battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. If cables are ok. check battery voltage, it should be minimum 12.4vdc.
