03 Ford Escape will not start

Asked by GuruBD27X Dec 07, 2018 at 06:22 PM about the 2003 Ford Escape XLT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 Ford Escape will not start. It
was running fine the last time I drove
it 2 days ago. Went to drive it today
and it will try to start but will not turn
over. The lights and radio and
everything come on but it will not
start. Any ideas on what the issue
could be? Or something I could try?
Thanks.

Probably bad battery but would try a recharge and load test. It may have enough to give you lights and such but not enough power to turn the engine. Good Luck!

check battery connections clean, charge battery, if battery low could be battery old or not getting charged when run, many places will check battery free, if not getting charged again could be dirty wires or alternator
