2006 ford escape will not start,

my 2006 ford escape will not start, had an ex put sugar into the gas tank, what do I need to do to get it running again

Damn that a good one. So you got sugar in your tank. This is only a suggestion not really sure what all the sugar will do. 1) Remove all the gas from gas tank. 2) add about two gallons of fresh gas. 3) undo fuel line at engine and cycle fuel pump on and off twenty or so times. (catching gas in container) 4) replace fuel filter 5) remove new gas from gas tank. 6) add fresh gas and some sea foam to gas tank. 7) cycle fuel pump twenty or so more time (catching gas). 8) reattach fuel line. 9) remove and inspect spark plugs 10) turn engine over a few times (with plugs out). 11) reinstall spark plugs and see if she will start back up.

most likely the ex is long gone or I would have her blow into the filler tube until all gas came out of the system. It may be easier to write this off and remember to lock gas filler. But seriously, sounds like you started or attempted to start vehicle that means the ENTIRE system is contaminated with sugar. First drop fuel tank if it has lot of fuel in it disconnect the line going into fuel filter and let the fuel pump help you empty the tank, discard gas, throw away fuel filter, go to front of car disconnect fuel line to tank use air to push out bad fuel, also blow out the return air line to tank, I would think since the engine ran for a while the injectors are clogged they can be removed and cleaned or if old 150k or more buy new or used ones, I would also believe the O2 sensors are contaminated there are 2 in exhaust pipe just outside exhaust manifold. when reassembling flush everything in clean gas, from both ends (tank and intake) with all this done hope the cat converter isnt f d up. This sounds teky and involved but it will cost lotsa $$$$$$$$$ to have a station do it, this way it involves your labor and time and a LOT less$$ Best of luck, if all else fails use bad gas to burn it NO NO NO BAD
