How do you start a 2014 Escape if the keyless battery is dead
I've asked this question at two ford dealers, they cant seam to give me an answer. The keyless remote does have a key so that the door can be opened but how would you start the car?
Carry a spair battery? Carry both keys? You have asked a good question.

I had this problem. The answers that I have found are, you are basically screwed if your battery in your fob dies and you do not have a way to get another to your quickly. There is NO way to start a 2014 Escape Titanium, with keyless ignition with a key, it it has been more than 20 seconds since you shut it off. Correct me if I am wrong. I just had new batteries put in all 3 fobs, yes I have 3 because my Husband feels you should have 3 keys to everything and ordered an extra when I purchased the car without knowing it was $270 and $75 to program.
Well I can tell you that I have the 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and my battery in the Fob went dead for the first time today, and I just went out and started mine 4 hours later. There is a way, and it's very easy once you know how to do it!! Hard to explain, but you hold your Fob in the indention where the key would go in a normal starting car with a key, and you push the button to start it like you would if the Fob was working and it starts!!!!!
Placing the fob against the steering column where the old style ignition used to be, works like a charm
