why does my gas gage and speedometer do not work?

when  I start the car, the gas gage flares up but then goes to empty. and the speedometer does not register

They may send those clusters out for repair. dealer parts may advise over the phone, or they may want to test power and circuit protections first. but issues like that have historically been electronic repair bench fixed. See what they say, i suppose.
