2001 taurus ingition problem
when i turn the key on only half the indicater lights on the dash come on,no engine light,no fuel pump noise,ect. i have changed the ingition switch, and had a new key cylinder lock instaled,and we did recode it to the car. when you go to the start possion all you hear is a fainy click from around the underhood fusebox area. any ideas ?
Have you checked the main/ecm fuse,s?
yes checked every fuse we could find
Check the fuel pump relay and stater relays,?
checked fuel pump relay,not triped Didn"t knon had starter relay. This doesn't explaln no check ingine ligth and a few others not lighting up on dash when i turn the key on.
If you dont,here the starter click,and fuse,s and relay.s are good,it can only lead to two two thing,s,,starter,or as you say engine light not coming on,along with other light,s,,,would lead to the ECM/brain.
Just for the fun of it,have you checked the battery??
brand new battery two months ago. thanks for advice ,where whould i find starter relay ?
