How about specifying that a manual transmission car is one with THREE
pedals (Adding the clutch) for the people who advertise but don't know the
difference between a manual and an automatic (even if you can shift the
automatic without a clutch)

It would not make the information any more accurate. The issue is not generally ignorance of differences between transmissions. How about complaining to dealers who don't bother to double check their listings?
