I would love feedback on what porsche boxster to buy

Asked by REDHOT Sep 24, 2009 at 07:25 PM about the Porsche Boxster

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I initially started my search for a 2003 or 04 boxster S, now I am considering buying a base 05 for around same price. My budget is 25-30 max. I dont think the 05 base is much slower and it looks better due to the redesign. Any thought between these 2 would be greatly appreciated. Which one??

IMO, you'd be happier waiting to buy the hardtop Cayman, but that's just my opinion... You should test drive any car you are thinking about buying and see which kind you like more. Get in contact with your local area PCA, there help will be invaluable before and after you purchase the car. I'd recommend the 987 '05+ though. It's my understanding that they are noticeably more responsive and more reliable, but I haven't looked into it to be honest. In either case read up on IMS failures and then goto http://flat6innovations.com and see what can be done about it. Side note, two 05's are for sale in the classified in the back of Panorama. One in North Carolina the other in New Jersey if either is near you, message me and I'll send you the details (No affiliation to sellers)

Thanks for your reply, there is a ton of inventory on these cars...ez to find.
