I have a Mitsubishi eclipse spider 2003 when I start it it will click 2 or 3 times then it will start

check your battery connections. even the ground where it hooks to the engine block. if all is well, have the battery load tested.

Have seen these cars have wiring issues in steering column too. Try adjusting tilt steering wheel either all the way down or all the way up and see if starts better. Wife's will only start with steering wheel tilted all the way down. Have not dug into why yet.

As stated above make sure you check tighten and clean battery connection. If still has the factory connections on the wires inspect them. Had to replace the wife's due to one of the factory connectors was thin and cracked not allowing it to stay tight.
