Hi, I work for Mitsubishi Motors, what you have to do is to replace all the original air filter box for a Short Ram. First of all, start eliminating all the original system, and then you have to buy the pipe and the air filter for your MY (Model Year) Galant. Tell me if you need more help. Regards

I'm guessing you are talking about the MAF sensor. One end of the sensor will meet with the intake piping with a silicone coupler and the other end you should have a MAF adapter that comes with your intake kit. You need to take off the 4 nuts that hold the MAF to the stock air box and attach it to the adapter with nuts and bolts. Then just make sure to tighten your new filter to the MAF adapter. It is very easy and shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. If you have a 1999-2003, this picture should help. V6 and I4 are basically identical when it comes to the intake setup.
