02 Sensor connection for cone filter.

Asked by FMXrider Aug 15, 2009 at 03:02 AM about the 2001 Mitsubishi Galant GTZ

Question type: Car Customization

I have been wanting to add a cone filter to my engine instead of the stock filter. But Everywhere I try I cannot find a connector to the 02 Sensor to attach a cone filter. I say that you had one for your car and I was wondering where you had got the attachment. Any info will help. Thanks.

Are you positive that it is a O2 sensor, and not a MAF (mass air flow) sensor? Usually O2 sensors take readings of the exhausted air....in any case, just go to a muffler shop, and for a couple of bucks, they will make the tubes and drill/weld you a bung to thread in the sensor.

Not necessary to go to an exhaust shop to put a cone filter on. All he needs is a MAF adapter for cone filter and he is set. $10 part.
