starting problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee 4.7  with 155m miles , The car starts perfect if I
run it every day. If it sets for a couple of days it cranks over for 2 or 3 seconds
before it starts. If I turn the key on while I put my  belt on and then try to start
the motor it starts just fine.
The battery is new.
is there a check valve in the fuel system that I can replace?

This isn't the answer sorry but I have the same thing happening to me. My 2008 Chrysler Sebring I just bought does the same thing. I haven't had the chance to ask anybody why it cranks over so long. It doesn't do it all the time. I'm hoping it's not going to be a big deal. I hope you don't have to spend any money. Lol
