Jeep Wrangler Chassis Rot

Thinking about selling 1-3 fun cars (convertibles/classic) to buy a Jeep Wrangler. Prefer the 4 doors. Seems Jeep has a problem with chassis rot on older models. Heard after 2006 they changed chassis but that are still prone to chassis rot.(Purists think they are junk) I used POR15 on my old cars but not out in winter. I live in NorthEast - expect it to last - what can I do?

When I bought my 2014 Wrangler last year, I sprayed Rustoleum spray paint on all the unpainted parts of the frame, drive shafts, etc. I also sprayed VHT flame proof spray paint on the exhaust, so hopefully, that will help prevent rust. There are also places, such as Ziebart, that will spray a rust proof coating on the frame and underbody. I haven't tried it though.
