Did he give you the error code? If you can get an answer out of him, here are the locations of the O2 sensors. O2 sensors are in the exhaust stream. Depending on what code you are getting it will tell you which sensor. Bank 1 Sensor 1 - Drivers side of engine (front if a front wheel drive car) before catylitic converter Bank 1 Sensor 2 - Same side after catylitic converter Bank 2 Sensor 1 - Passenger Side (rear) before catylitic converter Bank 2 Sensor 2 - Passenger Side after catylitic converter If you can get him to tell you which one is bad, you can order one from Rockauto or find one on Ebay. Then just have someone put it in for you or do it yourself.
