the AC compressor??? yes you have to measure for a new belt here is a diagrame of what it will need to look like . I believe this is what yours looks like anyways
This was very helpful, I got a 551/2 inch serpentine belt and I'm driving again. Thank you
Yes, very helpful! My belt is 55 7/8 inch. Was a bear to put on. But works great until I can afford to get the AC working.
Agree with previous guy... MINIMUM 55 7/8. Was a "bear" to get on. Probably would help to go a little larger !!!!!!
Belt i used is Gates k070553.
anyone know the belt size to bypass AC compressor on a CRV 2010 Honda
Anybody know the part # for the 55 1/2" belt?
We just did a 55 7/8 on a 2009 and it was difficult. I would agree with the statement that 55 7/8 is a minimum length
Would the belt length be th same 55 7/8 inch for a compressor bypass on a 2008 crv
I have one acura tsx 2004 how long belt most?
Can I bypass a ac compressor on my 04 mitsubishi laser paperback rallyart 2 .4?
Just did this on a 2004. 55-5/8" work very well. Tried 66-1/4" but did not have any tension. Installed it by the road for a guy who was travelling. Good forum, thanks for sharing belt lengths.
Another belt that would work for it is Dayco 5070579

yes, anyone for ac of a 2008crv??????
dayco belt is to long. the gates k070553 is the way to go. and it works for 08
In case anyone is looking for a bypass belt for a 2010, this one from a local auto parts store worked for me. CARQUEST by Dayco Poly Rib Belt, Premium Part No: 5060560 It has six ribs instead of seven, I plan to fix the A/C when the weather warms up so it's just temporary.
My car is CR-V 2.0L Automatic 2009 Excl. and use a belt DAYCO 6PK1538 because there is no roller on the top if the engine.
in case anybody is like me reading all these and trying to figure the best route... after reading all these... looks like 55.5 to 56 inches, 6 or 7 rib would work... fyi the 2.0L just above me... is for the European market

I used a Continental part # 4070565 (56.5") the metric number is 7PK1435 the 7 means number of ridges 1435 mm in length. I purchased mine at Autozone and they had it here next day. It went on like most belts I have replaced regarding tension, however I have not driven it in the rain or under heavy load so not 100% tested. It sounds good too and the noises and whining went away since compressor isnt spinning.

Continental part # 4070565 (56.5") was on a 2007 CRV
I have a CRV RD5 (2005)...Can I do same to isolate compressor? What is the belt length?
2006 CRV EX Tried the Continental part # 4070565 (56.5"). It was too long, no tension. And the winner is, Continental 4070553 (metric 7pk1405) which cross-references to Gates K070553. Thanks to everyone in previous posts for the information!
I have a 2007 euro crv( 2.0l R20 engine ) anybody now what belt i need?
Guru92QS9Z answered 2 years ago
The 4070565 is too long for the 2007-2011 K24 engine. Guru94VQN5 is dead wrong on this. There is damn near 0 tension on this belt. The correct answer is closer to 4070553 or any 7 rib belt that is 1404mm length.
Is this the same as a 2010? I got under the CRV and took off a fender liner and my AC pulley is seized. At least I think it is. In this pic it looks like the bottom left pulley but I didn't see the bottom right, what is that one?
