Front wheel bearings are not serviceable. They have to be sealed to keep out the elements and there is no way to lube them. You should get 80 to 100 thousand miles out of them. Replacing them is somewhat of a task, but manageable.
"Unit-Bearings" I believe they are called. Either you love 'em or hate 'em. I prefer the traditional type myself.
on my fwd.. they are sealed hubs. i've gone 168k miles on it without service. usually, they are long-lasting.
on my 06 silverado both bearings went with 2 month at around 53,000 and 54,000. the '94 got over 170,000 with no problems except 1 brake caliper. i see many are having problems with these bearings. are they using junk to build them?
Just installed a Ebay China bearing on 03 gmc yukon. Paid shop 100, bucks.Damn thing makes noise. Pulled brakes apart, they were new . Well just did front end work, whirrering noise still present.
