car won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For some reason my car doesn't start. when I turn ignition on all lights go off on dash board,
what could it be??? the car doesn't even make any sound

the chip in the key could be messed up same thing happened to mine

My key works fine and I have a backup, does the same with either. No lockout icon.

Short, bad connection on battery ,starter or ground
