Check your coolant . C ensor. It might be bad and telling the computer that its running hot.

What's your oil pressure at? Chevys are notorious for having bad oil pressure switches and they have a safety shut off switch if the computer thinks it's not getting the correct amount of oil pressure. Also is there any check engine light
