1994 Silverado V6 4.3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Started truck, put in gear and got no
response or change at all no matter
which gear I put it in. Is my
transmission out or is there something
else it could be? I saw no signs of
transmission problems. Ive only had
the truck for 7 days. Can u Help

Have you tried looking at the shift linkage between your column shifter and the transmission itself? I would start there first and make sure it hasn't come undone.

I did look under truck and wat I believe to be the transmission cable is gone/shredded. Im somewhat mechanically inclined but want to know if a replacement video for a 1995 could help me through the process

Yes, a video for a 1995 would probably be okay as long as it looks the same in your vehicle as it does in the video. It can't hurt to try! Good luck!
