2012 CHEVY SUBURBAN - POWER AND SHIFTING ISSUES

Asked by Nathaniel Aug 18, 2021 at 06:00 PM about the Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am obsessed with my suburban but lately it has been having some weird
shifting issues. sometimes it feels like not enough power or choppy idle etc.
no lights, no issues from the dealer. Gas mileage is awesome. But i hope
and pray its not serious. The transmission fluid is always replaced before
recommended and is recently checked and bright red...  is there any type of
programming or sensors i should replace or fix that help. So many mixed
messages around this I just don't know! I am kind of on the poor side so its
not something i can really afford to ignore and get worse either. Any
resources where i can self analyze or trouble shoot is appreciated!

It's hard to say without looking at the live data while driving the vehicle. Though I know you have to fix engine performance issues that cause lack of power before you can suspect the transmission is bad.
