Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As a cab these vehicles are extremely popular but the trannys on these things are continuously having problems I have yet to drive one as a cab for any length of time that did not suffer from these ailments. Is there no way short of replacing the tranny (and that's only a short term fix) of remedying this problem? every time you replace a sensor the new one goes in a few weeks

do your history chrysler has had tranny problems since the mid 8's and they dont seem to care to make them better. 1990's dodge rams are generally lucky to make it 100000 miles with the original tranny

I have since found out the majority of the problems with the Chrysler Trannys seem to involve the wiring harness overheating getting brittle and breaking due to vibration why is there no replacement harness available? If you happen to know a source for these I know a couple of tranny mechanics who'd like to know.....

When they first came out there were some problems. I think that is in the past.Proper oil and filtering. The transmissions seem to last a long time. Look to ALLPAR for good info.
