1998 Dodge Ram 1500 changed water pump, burped system

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We changed the water pump and burped the system. Its still running very rough and using
a lot of gas. Also it still wants to over heat. Is it possible I blew my head gasket? I haven't
found water in the oil.and its not putting out white smoke. Also its not hard start either.

check for water in oil. also take the rad cap/holding tank off and look for bubbles..also check for a lower rad hose collapsing..i aaassume you checked the thermostat...you can drill 2 or 3 1/16 holes around the thermostat base itself and re bleed...
