2012 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 going into limp mode

Got a 2012 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 goes into limp
mode when traction control is on but if I turn off
the traction control it does not go into limp mode
no more it does have shift solenoid a needs
replaced as well as TCM code I work at a
transmission shop everybody's telling me valve
body and replace the sensor because it comes
with a new valve body but at the same time I like
the second opinion if anybody has had this
problem please let me know thank you
