the ring and pinion gears are exceptionally strong in a ford 9 inch rear and cpable of handling alot of torque
not only that but the wheel base and their endless possibility's for the suspension
it's hypnoid just like all the other rears but the axles are as strong as or stronger than mopar 8 3/4", and have high carbon steel ring and pinion gears.
EZ in and out pumpkin, endless ratio combos, and can be switched out in 30 minutes
Quick to chang, ring and pinion gears are strong, handling torque like no other, endless gear rations, suspension differences. And the fact that its virtually bulletproof. Ford used to call it Bulletproof himself. It was first in the 1960's mustangs and then they started putting it into trucks.
actually the 9" began in 1957 in passenger cars including the T Bird...
