Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What is the fastest and/or cheapest way to unharness more hp in my 289 engine, with
a stock c4 auto trans and stock rear end (probably with oem highway cruising gears).
The engine was upgraded recently by having an edelbrock top end kit installed which
included a new cam, aluminum heads and 4 bbl aluminum intake.  A 600 cfm holley
carb was installed as well as ceramic hooker headers and a full 2 1/2" flowmaster dual
exhaust system.  The whole package took the hp from 200 (stock) to about 367 after
the upgrade.  The problem is that the power to the wheels from a dead stop is just
about the same as it was before the upgrade (not great)  Does it need trans. work or
new rear gears or a stall convertor or ??  What is the fastest and cheapest way to fix
this problem?  Thanks.

Lower profile tires or lower gear in the differential. Both will accomplish the same thing.
