Bora is a European Jetta, so aside from the regulation differences (different glass, etc.) and possibly different engine availability (diesel vs. gasoline) it's basically the same.

No different really, The Jetta is a U.S version of the European Bora. The Jetta Vastly out sells the Golf (think it's the Rabbit in the U.S) in the States; whereas in Europe it is the complete opposite. Golf's are by far the most common. The one difference that is notable is that because of the slightly increased weight of the bora/jetta due to the boot and rear body being bigger is that the bora has firmer suspension than the golf.

there was even more differences coming to australia. Base bora came with a 2.0 litre unit, then there was the V5 with the 2.3 lt v5 engine obviously, the2.5lt V6 4motion was the top of the line and the only model with the AWD system. Golf came with the 1.6litre weezer right through to the 2.0 gti engine. No diesels were ever offered on the bora over here as it was sold to compete with that crap that BMW calls the 3 series.
