Buyback on Infiniti 2019

Need more advice.  I’m about to buy an Infiniti
2019 Qx30 with
12800 miles awd w/ navigate package .  It
was a buyback.  The repairs were done and
still has up to 3 years of warranty left.  The
cost is 21,000.  Please let me know what you
think.  I called Nissan service and they said
the repair was because of emergency brakes
Slip light came on and vehicle not
accelerating.  Looks like I’ll be saving 3500 on
this vehicle. What do you think?
Also On the CarFax report it says,
“Emergency brake inoperable Slip light came
on and vehicle not accelerating.” I called the
Nissan manufacturer and they told me about
the same. There is still almost 3 year warranty
on it and an extended warranty on the
incident. Need advice.

A buyback is usually when the vehicle comes into the service department for repair and there is no resolution on the repair and the manufacturer will buy the car back from the purchaser. You heard of the term lemon law? These cars are then resold. Most times a fix is figured out, but sometimes not. Check out other reviews on the QX30 to see what other owners are saying.

Yup, a "buyback" is a nice word for a Lemon!! A Lemon has something wrong with it that can't be fixed!! About twenty years ago a friend bought a late model Ford Thunderbird that was a Lemon because of the brakes. The whole time he had it the brake pedal was spongy. He took it to several different repair facilities including more than one Ford Dealer and nobody could fix it!! He had the car long enough to pay for it then he dumped it! DO NOT buy this vehicle!! You'll have nothing but headaches with it! The warranty is nice but Infiniti will soon grow tired of fighting with it and leave you high and dry with a vehicle that doesn't want to run!! The Lemon Law doesn't apply to subsequent owners who buy the vehicle used! So you'll be stuck with it!! I say keep shopping!! It's being offered at a reduced price because nobody wants it, including you!! Hope that helps! Jim
