Anyone know how many 1987 5.7L IROC-Zs w/t-tops were produced? I'm the original owner of one that has an option I've been told is rare (the overhead console), possibly making it valuable...

Sometimes wikipedia has all that info, especially on popular and legendary cars
there were around 24000 of these cars built ,almost all the iroc i've seen had t tops. if it were a convertible then that would be a rare car since there were on 744 built in 87. the good news is the 350 engine which was an upgrade from the standard 305 but still an awesome ride .
trip65's info isnt quite up to par!! I've been scouring the net looking for the same info you are because I have an 87 5.7L IROC w/ T-Tops & the (DK6) Roof Console, & I also have the (DD8) Auto Inside Rear View Mirror. Here's some #'s I was able to find but cant seem to locate a better breakdown. Total Camaro Production for 1987 = 137760 Total IROC Production for 1987 = 38889 Total 5.7L (350 CI) Production for 1987 = 12105 (All 5.7L Camaro's in 1987 Were IROC's) Total T-Top Production for 1987 = 59600 (All Camaro models combined) Total Roof Console RPO code (DK6) Total Production for 1987 = 3366 (All 1987 Camaro Models) (This 1 is Just for you & I LucyDucey) Total Auto Inside Rearview Mirror Production for All 1987 Camaro Models = 901 If you go to www.prophetsofmadness.com All this info & more is on that site

I have same year with same options can't find replacement parts for ovwrhead consule .I'm missing the light .not really sure how rare it is ..also I have original radio and sound system does anyone else have a flap/door with speakers over the "spare well" in the hatch ??
Damm I so wish I still had mine. It was a 5.7L, burnt orange color , t-tops, leather interior. Custom stereo with Fosgate amps, champ 500 wheels. I bought it in 1988 with 17,000 miles on it. It was stolen 9 months later. Torched & burned completely by a couple teenagers in Phoenix. They stole 6 IROCS that night, mine being the last. I believe all were totaled.

WOW, My car fits can't find any other information that fits. Here it is 33 years later. I suspect if actually 901, most were abused, wrapped around a tree, etc. Mine is all original, 47K. It pains me to think to sell, NOONE was ever allowed to drive the car but my car collector BF former/still friend. GM next year is not making Camaros. Answers were 6 yrs ago? Hope this sparks interest. Trying to find actual value, until those kids born in 1987...
