Does this sound like a starting selinoid?

Asked by ernievette Sep 03, 2012 at 12:54 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I pressed the " Start" button, and the car made a sound like the starter was "hanging up." Before I could press the "off" button, the car started and in gear made a "clicking sound" while moving.  The brakes work fine, the gears work fine and when I press the brakes, the car stops in a straight line.  Could this be a defective starter selinoid or other kind of starter issue?

Get thee to a repair shop. Sounds like whatever it is could be fixed now cheaply but if you let it go may get expensive
