timing belt and water pump needs to be fixed?

its started making a squicky sound when i turned and then my passenger side front tire fell completely off the wheel bell(w.e. its called) so i went to buy the lower ball joints and control arm. its fixed but now its overheating with no water/coolant in the main and back up resivsioer and its not over heating but it continues to need filled up after a long trip = 30+ miles and its missing 1/2, etc. i was told to get a timing belt kit and the water pump replaced? any advice for where is cheaper parts and if there's anything else i made need to be aware of? thank you all for your help. i'm a woman and have knowledge but i'm no mechanic. i did the lower ball joints myself but i cant handle this unless u guys help me =] please and THANK YOU...

thanks tom. yeah its been driving cause its our only car but getting this timing belt kit and water gaskets done tomorrow. any other advice?
