Do I need tp replace all four tires

Asked by GuruXXWQD Oct 17, 2018 at 01:07 PM about the 2012 Lexus IS 250 Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was side swiped and one tire was destroyed along with the alignment. I'm told
by my service writer at Lexus I need to replace all four tires. They were all
purchased in May 2017. What is the policy on this issue. I understand that if i
do not replace all four my drive train and others factors could be compromised.
Please let me know your thoughts.

different tires may affect the traction control , but if they're fairly new you can bring the tire alone to a store with the type of tire the rest are they should hook you up , then take it some where for an alignment , your experience may differ

Only replace all 4 if the other 3 have a lot of wear. If they are 3/4 pr better I would keep them.
