How do i turn off the Maintenance required warning?

Asked by GuruQMNZ Apr 28, 2017 at 05:51 PM about the 2015 Lexus IS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I passed 15,000 miles a little box came up saying maintenance required
then a ! came up later.  I have had the 15,000 mile check-up at the dealership,
and they told me I do not need an oi; change because I had one at 10,000
miles and do not need one until 20,000 miles. So why the warning?

The dealer probably did not reset the maintenance light when they did the service. They should reset if for free if you take the car in but your owners manual should also tell you how to to reset it.

BTW - if you care about your car don't go 10,000 miles on an oil change. Every 5,000 is better.

They probably forget to reset the maintenance reminder on the instrument cluster. Is your vehicle Navigation? it suppose to be done on the nav. screen and instrument cluster.
