95 ford Taurus Won't start when it cold

My 95 ford Taurus Won't start when it cold but
when I crank it over like 30 or 40 time it will start
and if I try to give it gas as I'm doing it. It will back
fire and die

It would sputter like it's not getting enough gas as long as I don't give it gas it would start on like 30 or 40th time that I crank it
Test....when cold try spraying starter fluid into intake before cranking, if it fires right up it could be an issue with idle air control valve causing it to run lean. If that's the case try cleaning it before just going out and replacing it

try a new coolant temp. sensor .See what the plugs look like . That's an old vehicle you may not want to put a lot of $$ into it .
