Is there any way to repair a cracking dash other than replacing the dash?

I found this video that looks interesting. It's sort of an advanced DIY but if you are replacing the dash anyways, you have nothing to lose by trying it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANE0dueAXSI
