Paint scratch repair on 2015 starfire peal

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 1" long deep line scratch on the hatchback near the "L".  Dealerships are telling us that it is not possible or practical to attempt a repair of this other than a complete repaint of the panel.  What are you recommendations?

Take it to a couple of different body shops and have them look at it.
