Question type: Maintenance & Repair
If the car sets for 24 hour it will not start on own. If you add gas through the Air
intake it will start up and run fine and start 2-3 hours after but after 24 hours
will not start again unless you add gas to the air intake.

Is it Throttle Body Injected, or is there a carburetor on there.
This is a fuel issue. I am suspecting the TBI regulator would need to be rebuilt. I would verify the fuel pressure first, should be 9 to 13 lbs. when running, Do you hear the fuel pump prime up with just the key in the on position, and then do you hear it turn off?
Yes you can hear the fuel pump kick in then off. I will check the pressure and see what I find. Thanks for your suggestion.
Ok checked the pressure and from what I found on-line it is right on at 42 lb. when the pump kicks on and not running. I have rebuilt the regulator before the test still no start when setting overnight unless you pour a little gas into system. Has a little bleed off after 10-20 min. Maybe a leaking injector?
Very well could be. do a fuel bleed down test. The fuel gauge hooked in line, cycle the key until highest pressure built up, key off and watch the gauge. Pressure should not drop more that 5 lbs in 3 minutes. Sounds like you have good fuel pressure.
I was wrong on the fuel pressure, but yours is good. It should be 30.5 to 44 lbs. Its just that normally TBI's run at the 9 to 13 lbs, but Corvette is different.
Ya it doesn't drop like that maybe a pound after 10 min.
Everything is good with the fuel then. Don't see a problem, but symptoms point to a fuel issue. So I am thinking possibly the Ignition Control Module. You can take that out and have tested at Auto Zone. When installing these you make sure and put dialectic grease on the underneath side of the module. Wouldn't hurt to have the coil checked also, these components may be weak.
