Activated flood mode in my 2006 Corolla and want to know what the consequences might be?

Asked by Chiron_501 Feb 16, 2017 at 07:42 PM about the 2006 Toyota Corolla CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Corolla and recently it wouldn't start so i replaced the starter and battery and nothing happened. The dash lit up and everything beeped and worked just fine. But the car did not crank over. I read online that holding the gas pedal down to the floor while turning the key would start the car right up. And it did, however i know have a check engine light and the car shakes. Any help or insight as to why this is Thank you
