1994 ford ranger, was in 4 wheel drive, suddenly front wheels disengaged. Not fuses, replaced dash switch, problem is electrical. Stumped!!!

Truck was in 4 wheel drive then front  wheels disengaged. Not  fuses, dashboard switch replaced, still no go. Have checked front hubs, they're fine.  Transfer case does not engage.

Check your transfer case it has a motor on it that put's it in and out of four wheel drive
