Car is getting hot because the radiator is leaking, low coolant. Get the radiator repaired.

You need radiator fluid to cool the engine. When it is low due to a leak, it will not flow fast enough to cool the =radiator fluid and keep the engine cool. Do what Rowefast suggested, and fix the leak. It may just be a radiator hose, or water pump. A hose replacement is far less expensive that a new radiator. A hot engine will freeze up and it could cost near 5 to 10 grand to replace it.
